Coming Attraction! Our third annual reception/movie fundraiser is all set for May 12! This year, we have two treats in store: the movie Nobody’s Fool, filmed in Beacon in 1993-1994; and, enjoying the historic indoor theater on the grounds of the Settlement Camp Park, 18 Camp Loop Road. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and libations, and the two-hour movie begins about 7:30 (depending on dusk conditions). We thank the City of Beacon Recreation Department for hosting us and our trustees, who donate the refreshments for this annual fundraiser. Please note that the interior space is unheated and rustic; you must bring a sweater and your own portable camping chair, much as you would for an outdoor concert (or you won’t have a seat!). A donation of at least $50 per person is required, as are reservations. Email BeaconHistorical@gmail.com to make yours today. All are welcome -- providing they reserve a space!
