Dennis Brack - Veteran White House News Photographer Presentation

Dennis Brack, a veteran White House news photographer presented a fascinating talk at the opening of the Eyes of History exhibition. Dennis has photographed United States presidents from J.F.K. to our current POTUS.  His photographs have appeared in LIFE, NEWSWEEK, US NEWS, PARIS MATCH and TIME among many other publications throughout the world.  For twenty-five years, Brack was the secretary/ treasurer of the US Senate Standing Committee of Press Photographers and for many years the past President of the White House News Photographers Association. He has received the prestigious WHNPA Lifetime Achievement Award and was honored at the Eyes of History Gala.  Brack’s book Presidential Picture Stories is about the photographers who cover the presidents, and how each views the other. It is a unique history of US presidents and their families and is available to peruse in our library. Serving as the liaison between the WHNPA and the Beacon Historical Society, Dennis helped us  as we discovered Harry’s contributions to the presidential history lexicon.  We are thankful for his time and for sharing his knowledge.  He was inspirational to this project.
